Ideas
The vision for this project was to remediate and reclad an existing 33 unit townhouse development. Our goal was to refocus the project and get it back on track after the incumbent contract project manager and engineer were terminated.
Transformation
Having already suffered a 6 month suspension this project required a significant restructuring so that the new project team could work more collaboratively and overcome the obstacles that the previous management had encountered on the project. Acting on behalf of the client as contract project manager and engineer Greenstone Group’s initial focus was developing and implementing the new project delivery plan. This involved reviewing the project structure and the performance of those involved, and then creating the joint resources that could deliver design documentation without delaying the project programme, and also better manage the costs of the project.
Our extensive experience on multi-residential and remediation/reclad projects allowed Greenstone Group to understand the complexities involved and manage the restructured project team in a way that moved the project forward productively and also provided more surety around timelines and costs. Because Greenstone Group took on the design management of the project as well, we were able to prioritise delivery of all design documentation without any further delay to the project.
Reality
Through our project leadership and proven strategies to manage the programme, stakeholders and the contractor team, Greenstone delivered the project in a way that ensured that the programme duration was minimised and overall project costs were mitigated.
