After successes on two projects for Genesis Energy, Greenstone Group was invited to provide project management services for their office relocation from Huntly to a new, centralised base in Hamilton’s CBD.
As many of the staff had previously worked onsite at the Huntly Power Station, the relocation to a two-floor office in the city had to be dealt with sensitively. Greenstone Group consulted regularly with the client to ensure the fit-out would not fail to deliver on earlier commitments made by them.
Greenstone Group managed the value engineering of the project to ensure it remained within budget parameters and that the final fit-out would provide benefits to staff without sacrificing design intent.
The specific roles managed by Greenstone included the recruitment of a design team, developing and detailing designs, tender negotiations, value engineering, building consent and authority liaison. We also monitored contractors to ensure health and safety requirements were met and ensured the project was completed in an efficient and timely manner.
The final fit-out occupies 1316m2 over two floors and was completed well within time and budgetary requirements. Feedback from staff has been positive and the transition from Huntly to Hamilton has been a smooth one with the assistance of Greenstone Group.
