Planned to be the biggest large format retail centre in the upper South Island, Nelson Junction is the only development in the region of this scale.
Consisting of more than 30,000m2 of retail, it will contain approximately 30 shops arranged around extensive central free parking.
Greenstone Group’s role in this project to date has been to manage the development process, in particular the pre-leasing of 20,000m2 of large format retail space next to the Mitre 10 Mega.
Nelson Junction is well located, adjacent to and highly visible from State Highway 6 with more than 21,000 passing cars per day. Close proximity to the Nelson CBD and Richmond town centre provides a unique opportunity for retailers to provide for both these populations from a central store.
Building and resource consents for stage one of the development are already in place, with earthworks to begin by 2015.
Greenstone Group has contributed to this project by formulating a leasing strategy, coordinating the design team and masterplanning the project, and by liaising with stakeholders, architects and solicitors. This comprehensive project management offering will continue until the project is completed.
